Regulation (EU) 2017/746 (IVDR) stipulates that healthcare facilities may only manufacture diagnostics such as EDTA in-house if no equivalent product available on the market meets the requirements of patients. During our temporary supply stoppage, hospital pharmacies manufactured EDTA themselves to ensure supply.
With the availability of our market-compliant EDTA product now assured, in-house production is no longer necessary. Proper supply should therefore be ensured via the tested, available product.
