Opening a plastic infusion bottle

Instructions in 4 steps

Plastic bottle with two rings to pull off, whereby the opening is to be demonstrated on the right ring marked in green.

To open the bottle, grasp the ring from above.

Remove the ring horizontally (not upwards!). When removing, the part marked in red here is removed, which releases the rubber plug.

One opening is suitable for injection, while the infusion solution is withdrawn from the other opening using infusion equipment. Both openings are versatile in their application.

Important information

  • Always pierce the bottles vertically from above and while standing upright. 
  • Pierce only once per opening.
  • Do not twist the needle or puncture device when piercing.
  • When using puncture devices with a wide rim, it may be necessary to remove both tabs so that the device can be inserted vertically.
  • Insert the puncture device only as far as the thickened section.
